David Letterman confessed on the Late Show last night that three weeks ago a CBS employee left a letter & a package in his car threatening to expose his affairs with female staffers—if Dave didn’t give up $2M dollars.
Dave met w/his lawyer, who advised him to meet with the guy to see what he was talking about; they consulted with police, & ended up handing off a phony check!! The guy’s locked up, & the rest is history in the making. Makes you wonder—how many of these plots end up successful?? Hundreds? Thousands? So much we’ll never know… (more…)
