I’ve always wanted to adopt. I don’t think I will ever have kids, because there are children who are without homes. People have look at me like I’m crazy and they say “those kids have problems” but my position is, there is never an ideal family situation. Even children born into “perfect families” will have issues.
True foster care is like a holding pen for until you are, 18 unless you are lucky, whereas adopting, I imagine, creates a lifelong relationship with child and adoptive parent. I say don’t make a premature decision. It will be hard and you will probably need a lot of support and to do some research to understand how best to mother a traumatized child, however, I say follow your heart.

@karen alise Yes!! “Follow your heart.” I agree. I’m not hellbent on birthing children; I would love to adopt!! HOWEVER—I’m damn sure not ready to raise a kid right now. My life already sucks…don’t need to suck anyone else into this vacuum…lol.

It’s been a month since the earthquake – over 2 million
desperately need of food assistance. They have no homes, no
jobs, no food. The World Food Programme was there before the
quake, and they’ll be there afterwards helping to rebuild lives.
If you want to help you should go to:

$5 donation
